My Trip To Vietnam

14Th December 2008 - We finally reached the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh city , Vietnam . there were a lot of wheelchairs for the victims who were maimed during the Vietnam war . After our arrival, we booked into a backpackers inn . I suggest the Bich Duyen Hotel in District 1 .

My 1st impression of Vietnam was that there were motorbikes everywhere , you could only see one car out of every twenty motorbikes ,it was also very noisy because everyone kept horning . If you want to get across the road , you must keep walking and don't stop because the motorbikes will try to avoid you . After putting our stuff at the hotel , we went to the Ben Thanh market . After that , we went to Pho 24 to have a drink . One thing about Vietnam's coffee is that it is very sweet because it is mixed with a lot of condensed milk . We also went to the central post office where they have a large picture of their father , Ho Chi Minh . There , we found a women's purse . My mom went online to look for a place to eat and found a place called Quan An Ngun , they say the food is good and the price is reasonable but when we went there to eat , the price was not reasonable and the food was not good! It was over rated .

Day 2 in Vietnam - We awoke early and had breakfast in our hotel . We had baguttes with egg & orange juice .

As soon as we finished eating , the owner of the hotel told us he booked a tour for us to go to the Cu Chi tunnel , but we would have to go to the Cao Dai temple before reaching the Cu Chi tunnel . The Cao Dai temple was in fact built in 1927 , the nine story Cao Dai temple is part cathedral and part pagoda . A gigantic eye which represents God is painted on a gigantic bell in the front most part of the temple.

After visiting the temple , we set of for the Cu Chi tunnel . When we arrived , we watched a video about how the Vietcongs fought . After the video , we saw the actual tunnel that the Vietcongs built . I actually went into the tunnel .

My sister did not want to go in because she was scared . We also went in to the tunnel that they widened . My sister nearly fainted so my father had to piggy-back her .

After a while , my sister felt better and could walk on her own . Very soon , we came to a rest room . The tour guide allowed us to do any thing we wanted for twenty minutes , so we decided to try out some shooting . They let us choose the guns as there were different guns to choose from ,there were automatic machine guns , AK-47 , Thomson machine guns etc.I chose the AK-47 .The recoil of the gun was so powerful it threw me off balance and the sound was deafening .

After resting , the tour guide brought us to a very long hut and showed us a lot of traps the Vietcong used during the war . there were the armpit trap , the chair trap , the tiger trap , the seesaw trap , the leg trap and the no baby trap /door trap . After visiting the Cu Chi tunnel , I decided to buy a souvenir so I bought an aeroplane made of 999 beer cans .

Day 3 in Vietnam - We woke up and found out the owner of the hotel helped us book a tour to the Mekong Delta . When we arrived , we were warned not to put our hands out of the boat as there were still crocodiles in the small canals . And what luck we had as we saw a baby crocodile . Our first stop was at tortoise island where we saw a bee hive and I took picture with two pythons , we also drank honey tea where my sister was frightened by a few bees .HA HA !We also went to an orchard where we ate all sorts of fruits example : bananas , pineapples , ciku , papayas and pomelo . We had to go on sampan to reach our boat before heading to our next destination . When we arrived , we saw how they made coconut candy . Our tour guide advised us not to french kiss under a coconut tree or else you might lose you tongue . Soon , it was lunch time and we were brought to a place to eat . You would want to eat the elephant ear fish (fried) . After eating , you can either sleep in the hammock or cycle around the island , but don't go far .After all that , we went home .

Day 4 in Vietnam - My sister and I decided to sleep in . We didn't follow my mom and dad to the wet market where every marine life there are alive .

We spent the whole morning playing computer in the hotel .Soon , we had to leave Vietnam to go back home . I really miss the noisiness of the city and the beef noodle soup with baguettes .

How to get good results

I'm sure everyone wants to get good results for their Exams here are some ways you can try .

1.Do not think NEGATIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!! For example , don't think about sentences like these " I'm stupid" ," I'm dumb" . Your brain controls all.

2.Read lots and lots of books . For example, if you are weak in Chinese , read Chinese books .

3. If you don't know how to read a word or do not know the meaning of a word , check the dictionary or ask your parents.

4.You can read the dictionary occasionally to earn more knowledge .

Have you ever wondered why it is normally hot these few days??????????? You might even think that you might even die !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The answer is GLOBAL WARMING .
What is global warming??? One might ask himself /herself . Global warming is caused when gasses like CFC (a gas which is found in air-con and refrigerator)and carbon dioxide blocks heat from the sun getting out off Earth.
